… of blogging! I had this cute idea for a blog post for this week and well, life is getting in the way of me being creative so far this week.

Yesterday my adorable, sweet six week old baby was replaced by a whiney, needy baby. I feel so sorry for you moms out there who have these babies everyday. I don’t know what I’d do if Rory was like that all the time. Every single time I’d put her down after I’d rocked her to sleep, she’d pop those eyes open and cry/scream. Oh my goodness, it was a LONG day. But, thank goodness, today she woke up smiley and sweet once again.

I’m pretty sure this is why Mondays are so hard for the stinker.

Her daddy spoils her to death on the weekends. I’m not complaining one bit and can deal with Monday Blues from the baby girl if that is why she’s upset. I am so thankful for a husband who is an absolutely wonderful dad. I know there are women out there who do it completely alone, heck I know these women personally in my life. I am beyond blessed.

Rory ADORES her daddy too. She smiles and just stares at him when he holds her (as you can see from above picture).

Let me just tell all you mom-to-be ladies out there- the “My Little Lamb Cradle n Swing” from Fisher Price is a life saver!!!!!!! Here she is in it when she was just a few days old:

And here she is now at six weeks old:

She loves her “friends” as we call them- the lambs on the mobile. She just “talks” to them and smiles at them, its too cute! I wish I could actually get a smiley picture, but babies smile REAL quick its so hard to get one on camera!

Life outside of baby has been crazy for us too. I’m having to have surgery as soon as we get back from Florida for Andy sister’s (Ashley’s) wedding. I’m having my gallbladder taken out and maybe/most likely a cyst removed. Lovely! Good news is that my mom is coming to help take care of Rory and I am SO EXCITED for her to be here again! (Andy is too- he gets her good cooking! ha!) So needless to say, the next couple of weeks are going to be busy. Hopefully I can still blog in the midst of all of it! 🙂

  1. I love your blogs. I’ll have to get amped up to do one. Praying for you and your gallbladder- My mom had it done when Miller was about Rory’s age. Seriously- my first memory is of my dad removing her staples. Luckily yours won’t be so invasive 🙂 Love y’all!!!

I love hearing from y'all! Leave a comment below!
